The Freedom of the Press Foundation hosted a webinar Aug. 11 to discuss solutions for improving the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and recapping the last term of the FOIA Advisory Committee.

Topics included the use of artificial intelligence in FOIA, creating a specialized FOIA court to streamline litigation, increase funding for processing, and tips for journalists in improving their records skills.

The webinar included David Cuillier, Brechner FOI Project director, Ryan Mulvey of the Americans for Prosperity Foundation and Margaret Kwoka from The Ohio State University. It was moderated by Lauren Harper, Daniel Ellsberg chair on government secrecy for FPF.
