The Shadow Governments Project
Essential public-policy decisions are being made in the shadows by “quasi-governments” that exercise state authority and use state resources while hiding behind a shell of private incorporation. It’s time to bring school board associations, university athletic associations and other “shadow governments” into the sunshine, where the public can attend board meetings, inspect documents, and keep track of how taxpayer resources are used by powerful agencies that are “private” in name only.
