2015 Florida Legislative Update

During the 2015 session, Florida lawmakers passed 12 new exemptions to the state's open government laws. It also re-enacted six exemptions to the Public Records Law and one exemption to the Sunshine Law. An exemption is a law that clearly states certain records cannot be made public or certain meetings are not required to be open to the public.
